Well here it finally is the Facebook IPO and Wall Street couldn’t be more happy. After all the market has been pulling back after its extremely irrational rally the past few months. But lets get back to Facebook! This IPO has been demanded for years now and is finally going to make its debut Thursday. Investors young and old, smart and dumb or I should say dumb and dumb, are lining up to get their greedy little irrational hands on this stock.

The news is also having a hay day with this stock because that’s what the news does, it relays useless info. I however am extremely cautious towards this stock and its not because I don’t like the company, I love Facebook and what it allows people to do. I do however hate the business model that so many are claiming will improve over the years. Well I’ve got news for you, Facebook has had almost 8 years to perfect its business model and figure out how to make social networking profitable.

Now I am not saying Facebook doesn’t make any money, they do, last year around $3.5 billion. However this is nowhere near enough to justify what they company is asking us to believe, that they are somehow worth $108 billion. WTF!!!! Not a chance in HELL this company is worth that valuation, no company is that only makes $3.5 billion in revenue.

HOWEVER! This doesn’t mean the stock won’t rise on Thursday, it likely will. You see it is not hard to manipulate the mark and the market is usually wrong. If Facebook offers the right amount of shares at the right price it can make it appear that the company has a low P/E ratio which Wall Street love to judge companies on.

So words of wisdom, don’t buy this stock. In the long run Wall Street will come back to its senses and start asking the questions I just did. And eventually like all hot today gone tomorrow stocks the question will be EARNINGS!!!! Does this company make enough to be worth $108 billion. The answer NO!!!!!

Unpatriotic Acts or Patriotic Acts?

While I do agree that those who have no desire to be here should consider leaving, I disagree that the burning of the American flag is as “black and white” as it appears to be. The American flag is a symbol and depending on what time in our history you live in it can represent various ideas/practices.

For instance the Enola Gay that dropped the atomic bombs on Japan flew our nation’s colors proudly. However the act itself was one of our darkest moments. On the contrary when two brave American astronauts planted our flag on the lunar surface it was one our nations proudest moments in history. So the flag itself can represent different acts of patriotism.

I could argue that the burning of the American Flag today could be a form of protest against our current government that continues to infringe upon our civil liberties that our founders instilled in the Constitution. A government that enacts such laws like the Patriot Act and the NDAA bill which are anything but patriotic American principles.

So if I have to choose between offensive forms of free speech or appalling silence of obedience, I will not hesitate to select the former.

It saddens me to say this but it must be said. Freedom, liberty, and unalienable rights are not granted nor are they an entitlement to anyone. I believe that our founding fathers understood this and that is why it was written in the constitution, not to make it law but to make sure we remember what we must always fight for.

For some time people have forgotten this idea that we must never withdraw our line in the sand. Over the past decades our civil liberties and constitutional rights have been under attack by our own government. Not by some radical Islamic group half a world away but by our own elected officials sitting atop a hill.

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Abraham Lincoln

We have created our worst advisory, envisioned our own demise, and up until a few months ago we had stud by watching Rome burn before our own eyes. Do I believe that Americans should trade off some of their liberties for the sake of “National Security”? Never!

“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it”. Adolf Hitler

We have been told a lie, we were bombarded with propaganda, and we were told that if we object it’s unpatriotic and un-American. We have forgotten what our founding fathers endured when they declared their independence. At the time it was unlawful to speak of such actions against the crown and if they failed the only future left for them would be death.

We are here once again, we have been pushed against the wall and threatened with laws that we did not enact nor agree with. At the precipice we stand like our fathers before us, our actions from here will dictate rather or not they condemn or condone us.

(Conversation between viewer and Sean Fitzhugh)

I’ve also heard of that “conspiracy” and have to say it seems like something that could happen. We are already seeing bills being passed in states that don’t allow cash transactions for used goods. The governments know that if they could control how we buy, sell, and trade it would give them unlimited power so it certainly is something I think they have greatly considered.

However I don’t see them attempting to implement such a technology right after the western currencies collapse because it will be too dramatic and bold of a change. People need to be brought along slowly in order to get them to conform to ideas/policies.

So what I see possibly happening is a more subtle approach like Germany has taken. Last year Germany passed a bill that required all of its citizens to hold and carry a newly state issued “ID Card”. This ID card can hold all of your personal information such as medical records, address, etc. And the German government is encouraging its citizens to submit their information to the card for “Safety” reasons. The card can also act like a debit/credit card and be used for purchases.

So I would imagine that the governments try this first in order to get people to conform to the new way of conducting their daily lives and then over short periods of time (years) they add additional requirements such as holding your money on the card. Eventually yes it could lead to chip implants but like I’ve said before this all depends on the consent of the people. If the people are dumb enough to conform to these “requests” than that is their own demise but if they refuse than it will never take.

Look at how much power the government has grabbed after 9/11. This new NDAA bills is nothing more than the Patriot Act on steroids.

Hope this helped.

Typically I would never advocate buying into a falling asset. In fact one of my Ten Commandments of investing is “never to bet on losers”, that is betting that they’ll turn around. However in the case of Gold & Silver I cannot be more enthusiastic when I see prices get hammered by an irrational market. For those of us who have done our homework on Gold & Silver, when we see prices like this we get a contemptuous grin on our face. Not because we are seeing our investment go south, but because we can now add to our favorite investment at a lower cost average.

To put it simply the stock market is being propped up with continuous government intervention and stimulus packages. Imagine filling a cup that has a hole in the bottom of it with a bucket full of water. Eventually the bucket will run dry and the cup will become empty, that is what the stock market is right now. So if you’re long on stocks be aware that you own assets that are being leveraged to the hills and cannot maintain these levels unless more and more money is injected.

Now if you’re long on Gold & Silver you own assets that are being suppressed through market manipulation. Imagine holding a beach ball underwater, the ball is constantly fighting upwards but you continue to hold it down so long as you can. Eventually you get tired and release the ball and it springs upward. Well that is Gold & Silver right now!

So what action should you take? Buy into this sell off and continue to buy at any price under $50 an ounce. Remember I only advocate purchasing physical bullion not that toilet paper stuff called ETF’s.

Here are a few great bullion dealers to purchase from.

North West Territorial Mint:

APMEX:
